Quanta Magazine was honored with a People’s Voice award for Best Writing (Editorial) at the 26th Annual Webby Awards on Monday.

Quanta Magazine has won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for explanatory writing “for coverage that revealed the complexities of building the James Webb Telescope designed to facilitate groundbreaking astronomical and cosmological research.”

The new podcast, hosted by the mathematician Steven Strogatz, explores the secrets of sleep, the nature of space-time, why we age and other big scientific mysteries.

The award, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and decided by public vote, is one of the most coveted prizes in the digital space.

The new season continues host Steven Strogatz’s illuminating chats with leading scientists and mathematicians about their lives, passions and research.

Quanta was one of four magazines to be awarded top honors at the 2020 National Magazine Awards.

The new series features intimate conversations with scientists about their research and their lives. The series will launch January 22.

The magazine has released two collections of its award-winning reporting: Alice and Bob Meet the Wall of Fire and The Prime Number Conspiracy.
